Ok we are on a 2003 SBS network running our mail via exchange.

When one user sends an email with tracking enabled (read receipt) he gets an email back that informs him when its read but it doesnt add it to the original sent email. If he sends it to 30 people he may get 30 individual emails and it doesnt update the sent email.

On other computers it looks like this picture I found when looking for the problem

Notice the tracking tab, it doesnt appear on this one "problem" machine. Ive check nearly all the settings compared to the other machines and I cant find any differences!!

Its going out the window shortly :(

First thing to do when ever you get a problem like this is blow the mail profile away and start again, you can spend days trying to fix stupid little things like this.

How would I go about blowing th mail profile away? Sorry for the [probably] stupid question but I have little experience with outlook and exchange

Control panel, mail, show profiles, highlight the profile, click remove. This will just delete the mail profile, and will lose rules, catergories etc It will also disconnect any archive or other personal folders, these aren't deleted, they just need reconnecting.

Thanks :)

So will all the mail, diary, contacts etc be lost? Can I just export it and then import it again into the new one?

No they shouldn't be as they are stored in an OST file if you are not storing everything on the Exchange server. These live under the user windows profile folder.

Tried that and no success :(

It does the same thing on other computers too.

Would reinstalling Outlook help? I didnt think it would as I think the settings are going to be related to the mail profile if its doing it on different machines?
