Outlook search not finding all results

At first I thought I was imagining it but nope, when I search for emails in Outlook it will no longer find all relevant emails. I can manually scroll down my inbox to yesterday to find an email I want but it won't show up in a search.

Is this happening to anyone else? Is it because of a new update or something? Outlook never used to do it. I've already turned off the 'top results' thing that arbitrarily decides what results are most relevant and then puts them at the top and out of date order, so I don't think it's related to that.

This is Office Home and Business 2019 version 2304.

Probably hand in hand with this issue they are working on fixing:

User impact: Users may be unable to see messages with attachments when searching in Exchange Online.

Current status: We've halted the deployment of the offending update and we're in the process of preparing to revert said update to fully remediate impact. Due to the complexity of this issue, this will take some time as we work to verify that it will effectively address the problem. We anticipate that the reversion of the offending update will begin by our next scheduled update on Monday, June 12, 2023, at which point we'll provide a timeline for remediation if available.

You might not find it via Googling due to it being in the service health section of the admin part of o365 tenants, if you search for EX574075 (Microsoft code for this issue) you'll get results back.

Its been like this for a while for me, it just doesn't seem to work properly anymore. It will find replies to an email, but not the original email in some cases, leading to having to search for related messages.
