Last few weeks my outlook inbox has been inundated with spam emails, never been like this before.....normally goes to junk folder.
Anybody else having same issues ? Any way of stopping this from happening

Who is your isp? I'd look at their spam catching software, in cpanel for example you can change the spam threshold score:

Email address is old hotmail.co.uk address and just changed from BT isp to EE. Will have a look at there website and see if there is settings.
It's really bad, getting loads and they are all phishing emails.

So you need to login to your hotmail account and change the spam settings, but I'd expect any email address using hotmail to get obliterated with spam, sadly

Ah ok will have a look, thanks for your help.
Might be time for new email address, will look into who hosts best.

I'm getting loads in Hotmail too.
It's annoying as they just change their email address, so even if you block it, it just comes from another similar one.

Did a bit of reading up and it seems Microsoft spam filters are not working at the moment. Hopefully it gets fixed soon.

I can set it to only accept emails from my safe list, but then I might miss something I want.
Hopefully they sort it out and it goes back to normal, usually it's not too bad, just the odd one every now and then.

Seems Microsoft's spam filters have taken time off again, my Hotmail has been hit by a wave of spam today.

So all the spam emails come from broken addresses that are just long strings of letters and numbers with subjects that start with emojis. I imagine that microsoft's spam filter can't understand this and that is why they get through.

In any case, all emails from addresses without an @ sign are now sent to spam
