Anyway to view all mail from all of the folders at the same time?

If not, why not?

I have to separate everything I get into folders, there's no other option really but I wouldn't mind being able to just view all ocasionally and then go through every message received on a certain day without having to browse through 30 folders trying to work out which one I put it in.

Categories rather than folders?

I'll be easy to set up now you have everything in folders, just make categories, select all in folder, apply it, drag back to inbox.

Don't know anything about categories but just read this:

Using categories is a great way to keep your Outlook environment well organized without creating a myriad of folders. By using categories, you can keep all of the items in one folder but group like items together by category (except for email items).

what type of silly thing is that to say? If a feature isn't there it iisn't there, end of. Do you want someone here to magic one up for you?

Where'd you get that from? Just right click -> Categorize -> All Categories. Then set them up.

Just checked -

Might want to edit that image a bit more. You blanked out the subject in the mail window, but not in the reading pane!

Thanks, this has worked a lot better today.

Only concern I have is are my emails being sent with my assigned category to the recipient? The categories aren't exactly private but they wouldn't mean a lot to anyone else and I'd rather they weren't shared.

Having said that, I'd be very surprised if anyone else was using categories anyway as I've never seen them used before.
