Outrun 2006 Coast 2 Coast

Guess we'll just have to see what happens if/when we can get some others to join for this and see if it's not just our problem with it.

Just had another go, but uninstalling now as still goes too fast when enabling vsync and having aa and ss maxed out in nvidia panel. Plus the low blury textures are not very nice to look at.

Probably depends on the graphics card and/or driver version, because I know from past experience this game does act very wierd with certain ones. Runs perfectly fine on my GTX 280 with 191.07 drivers.

On ATI cards especially, the anti-aliasing modes in the configuration can be dodgy, and during transitions to the next location when ingame, it gets all glitchy, textures or the sky box appears blank or there are too many popups.

No idea about the "too fast" part, but I notice some people have problems with that as well. Guess it must be drivers or settings then.

Latest drivers and obviously as u see from my sig i run a gtx 260.

Too fast, part im guessing is by design it used to be a fast game at the arcade as well but i thought i remembered it differently as in u could steer better at top speed but either the roads are far too narrow or even with sensitivity to lowest the turning is too sharp.

Ah if you are on about the speed in the game by design, then yeah it is supposed to be fast.

Original OutRun 2 was quite slow until the SP version came out which introduced the Slipstream mechanic and increased the game speed. 2006 is a modified version of both games, so it is slightly faster than the original Arcade versions.

So depending on which of the original or current games you played, I guess that is why it may feel different?

So that is either original OutRun, Turbo OutRun or OutRunners, or maybe even Power Drift?

OutRun 2 is obviously the official 3D sequal to the original and this was since 2003 time.

Was the outrun i last played. First game in vid.

And its a 24" tft so with vsync forced in nvidia panel it should be 60 max. ravl585

Hmm noticed in videos the gameplay is a lot slower and more manageable but in my game im like going 1000mph :p Maybe it just doesnt like high spec pc's with quad core and gtx 260.

Edit 2 Hmm its a bit more manageable now that i have everything maxed as possible in nvidia panel and using enhanced not override aa which works now. :)

Also learned that for all corners u gotta drift lol.
