Outrun 3 as been confirmed

What a coincidence, I was thinking about outrun a few days ago...

Also I remember another racing game on the master system, you had to catch up with the boss and keep smashing into their car to stop them. I recall it being called outrun: xxx but cannot remember. That was a fun game.

Would love a outrun 3 for the nostalgia, they should do another kickstarter, I supported Shenmue 3 :D
 
I'm kind of hot and cold on the concept of Outrun. On the one hand it was a technical wonder (in terms of the graphics and audio) in the late 80's when it came out but I was never convinced the gameplay was up to much at the time. Plus most of the later sequels were pretty mediocre games at best.

I'm not really sure where they could go with the franchise these days. Maybe some kind of Forza Horizons/Burnout open world arcade racing game?

Outrun Europa?
 
It could be good - depends where Sega go with it. If they expanded on Outrunners (anyone else play that?) with lots of different paths and cars to choose from, it could be great.
 
Coast to Coast was great.

Never known a sequel so far down the line that reminded me of the exact same feeling of what the original had.

More of the same would be great/ Still play it on the ps3.
