Hey Folks,

Im hoping someone can advise here, Ive noticed that my loo hasnt been flushing so well recently and after using some one shot cleaner, and seeing no difference, I started to investigate a little further.

I lifted the metal plate at the side of the house, and that was filled with water, so it seemed that the big pipe going to the street was blocked. So armed with some rods, I rodded away to no avail, length of the rods extended to the road.

Long story short, I used the claw on the end of the rod, and I did fish some debris out, but having rodded to the road, I hasnt made a difference. Who looks after drains, and where does a house owners responsibility start and end?

I live on a main road, if that makes any difference?

Just had another session of rodding and my property is defintely blockage free. Time to call Severn trent.

This has not been a fun day, yuk!

Inside your property line = Yours

Outside = Theirs

or that is generally the done thing with water companies

If one shot didn't clear it then **** knows what is down there, that stuff could clear a dead body from the sewer below.

One shot wont do jack on a sewer pipe unless you pour gallons down it! One shot is just for toilet and sink blockages.

I had Severn trent out yesterday and all was clear within 15 minutes, they just shoved a high pressure pipe down it and jobs a goodun.

Bubo, last thing we want is load phal aftereffects flying about in a blocked drain!
