Hey,

Just wanted to post here to share my glee at BFG's RMA service.

As you all know i've had a nightmare with my card, after sending my faulty card from the post office on wednesday, i have just recieved a working replacement. Two days is immense and i can't explain how pleased i am as a result.

Long live customer service :p

I guess you sent RMSD and they sent RMSD too? Were abouts did you have to send it to?

I used royal mail special yeh, but i just recieved it back via ANC delivery.

I sent it to a business park in wales somewhere, and i'm based in Lincoln, so it's a fair few miles across country.

Also, my 3D Mark score with this new card is 9500, as opposed to 8000 almost dead-on with the last one :x

In addition, the new card seems to have a slightly bigger fan, although that could just be my perception, unfortunately i don't have another card for comparison.

** mmmm, sli :P **

Yeh thats why i chose them over ANC, Citylink etc

Guaranteed < 1pm delivery sounds good to me. Cost £6, which is also pretty good considering.

Just can't believe how quick i got a new card. I was expecting to wait till after christmas to be honest.

Was sitting on the couch just looking at my pc thinking, oh cod4, oh crysis. were for art thou crysis.

And it came :D

Is there a new fan design cause i swear mine looks bigger...

Its a different fan they put on with sligher bigger fan, look at near the PCI-E conector, does that look different aswell?

My oc2 bfg crashes when run at the factory overclocked settings. I emailed them 2 months ago and they havnt even replied back.

Could you confirm how you got in touch with them? I presume via email? And if so could you verify the email address.

Thanks

Deks

I upgraded from an ATI card and all my games were crashing. I blamed nvidia drivers until I realised it was a clocking issue. I reduced the memory down from 1000mhz to 952mhz using ntune and it is 100% stable. If I run at stock 1000mhz then it constantly crashes in 3d games even with 100% fan speed.

I was going to put up with it but after what I payed for the card at the time (6 mnths ago) I think i'll complain.

Hopefully the original poster will confirm how he contacted them

I told you they were good!! :)

I cannot see anywhere how to contact them in the UK. The support section on overclockers.co.uk has a broken link to the website and even the telephone number listed is to the States?

Please advise

Just fill in all the details requested, including the nature of your problem, in the following link:-

http://www.bfgtech.com/contactts.aspx

You'll get an email back asking you to ring a toll free number if in the states, or to send some more information via email if you're not.

Then you get an RMA number and the address to send the card back to.

That's it really, all the above was completed within 24 hours on both the ocassions I've used it.

The above is how i contacted them. Support - rma on their site or something similar.

Once i sent it ( wednesday ) it took them like 2 hours to send me a new one as they must have posted my new one last night.

Quality.

I heard lots about the first batches of these cards being rushed and quality control was a bit dodgy, my first card looked shoddy in terms of build quality, and if i looked at it in my rig i could see all their plaster-like thermal paste popping out everywhere.

The new one looks a lot more professionally built, and the fan seems a little bigger, in addition the cooling has improved ( idling @ 38 degrees with fan @ 60% with rivatuner ) in comparison to previously ( 43 degrees at 75% ).

Furthermore my 3DMark score was 8000 something, and is now 9800 ish.

My card must've been dodgy ?

Thanks Tooks and mdk88 for taking the time to reply.

I have checked my card and it was purchased in May 07, maybe I got an earlier one. The link above is how I first contacted them and got no reply. Maybe it never sent as I know contacts thru websites dont always send.

Just to let you know my card idles at about 62 deg (80% fan speed). Can't remember under load I think about 80 odd deg. Maybe this has something to do with the crashes.

I will give it another go on the link above and hopefully can get the card changed whilst i'm in the hospital over Christmas

Cheers

After a few emails back and forth I got the following email. Is this what yo ugot? It doesn't mention a replacement but a repair which I guess would mean i'm without a graphics card for a while?

Cheers
Deks

Unfortunately the card will need to come in for repair.
