this is on a Belling Oven/Grill/Hob combi thing - electric

the hobs work fine but the oven and grill only heat up very slightly - the temperature light for the oven no longer comes on
have read that it could be the thermostat
will it be the 1 thermostat that controls both the oven and grill ?

A model number would be handy, I presume it's the top oven which has died.

You can get dual control grill/oven regulator & thermostat.

I would remove the thermostat and test the oven / grill, you will need to connect the wires together - but please do not leave it like this and be careful, it should be used as a quick test as its there for safety and should be designed to fail to safe.

Try Espares for a replacement if its knackered.

the 2 rear hobs dont work either
the grill doesnt heat up at all now
there's no way that it's going to be something simple thats wrong eh ?
its a belling 335 - seems a bit goosed so thinking it's probably best just to get a new one

By the time you spend out for this & that, would be cheaper with a new oven.

I had a Belling 335 about four years ago, gradually die one bit a time over a few weeks, replaced one stat, then a hotplate went, then something else failed.

Replaced it with a fan double oven had that nearly four years now & not a single problem.

would the cheapesy fan ovens in this list be decent?

The Belling has been fine until it stopped working...don't do any really fancy cooking or anything so don't think I need a fan or a double oven but the cheapest ones on that list do seem a bit....cheap

Not necessary that long, had someone phone me, & my delivery was brought forward.

Have google of the model I gave you, might cheaper, with free delivery & can delivery sooner.

I ended up just getting the £230 New World one
found the model you gave me on Electrical123.com for 250, next day delivery (£10 on a sat) but needed to get it sorted today for various reasons
I was originally going to get a ceramic hob but was put off with someone telling me about them cracking. The cooker's not actually for me and let's say the person who it's for is not the most careful of people!

They crack if you drop something on them but hotplates rust if you don't look after them.
