Hi all,

Firstly I don’t know much about ovens. I have a Siemens Fan Oven and Grill( E-nr: HB12320GB / 06 , FD : 8001/502135 ). I put the oven on a few days ago and it tripped the cooker fuse, and it all went off. Turned the trip box back on, and now im finding that the grill works, fan works but oven does not heat up at all.

I took the fan cover off to look at the element, and it visibly looks ok, not sure never seen an element before! Here some pics, any ideas? Cant really afford someone to come out and have a look .

Its more than likely the element thats the most common thing. Same thing happened to me a few months back. Easy enough to replace.

I'd say the element too. Thats the only problem i've encountered with cookers/ovens; they trip the fuse switch and its always the element!

yeh I would be surprised if it's the element they're simple things, it's more likely thermostat or one of the other controls.

Get your multimeter out before buying anything.

yeah ive given the gas hob one!, cant find the oven manual atm, thanks for the site, should be able to get it from there once I got the manual with the product number!

Should be a sticker on it somewhere, I found mine on the inside edge of the door if that helps.

Pull the oven out, and put it on the floor.

Remove the back cover and you should be able to see where it attaches, you may need special screwdriver bits though to take it appart.
