over clocking a e4700

hi there, ive clocked a e4700 to 3.2ghz, it shows in bios thats its been clocked to 3.2ghz, and even on the post screen where it shows ram etc....

but in windows under system is shows :

intel core 2 duo 2.66ghz @ 2.66ghz , is this correct?

im sure it used to say :

intel core 2 duo 2.66ghz @ 3.2ghz

any ideas why windows isnt showing it @ 3.2ghz anymore?

If its windows vista/7 a re-run of the index score thing can usually rectify that, as its a hardware change thats been made.

But in all honesty i would'nt worry to much about it, if bios shows 3.2 then its 3.2, if u want to make sure download and run cpu-z.

i did rerun the windows index score, but it didnt change it....

i loaded up cpuz and it also said 2.6ghz, but i did notice the actual speed was jumping round from roughly 1.6ghz - 3.2ghz.......

so this should be ok then.....
