hey i recently got the card in the title and wanted to oc, reason being im getting 60 fps in tombraider and division but will occasionally drop to 46fps or around there on both titles only for a few seconds but its annoying.
i have an i5 2500k oc to 4.6 so it wont be my first time oc'ing but it will be my first time on a gpu.
i have msi after burner and msi gaming app. So i wondered if anybody had any settings i can work from?
any info is great thanks

is the GPU under 100% load when gaming? only ask because the gpu should not have a problem with the game. how ever your 8 year old CPU could be starting to struggle.

also on the overclocking front. put power limit to max and add 100Mhz to core would be my starting point, you should not need to up Vcore to get an extra 100Mhz.

from time to time it hits 90% but most time sits around 70% use
yeah i do want to upgrade my cpu but dont have the money for a new mobo, cpu and ram at the min:(

Overclocking the GPU will always get you a little more FPS but it sounds to me like its already doing its job just fine, and the CPU maybe starting to hold it back.

A 2500k at 4.6GHz should have plenty of grunt left in it, see this chart:

Overclocking the GPU may certainly make a difference, and is very easy to do with MSI afterburner.

If you're dropping frames it may related to other aspects of system performance, or may simply be the game. It's worth ensuring for example that your sound card drivers are up to date.
