Hello i am currently trying to over clock my pehnom 955 to 3.8ghz but i am havin some trouble. I have a asus m4a79t deluxe mobo and 4 sticks off OCZ 1333mhz memory. I have set the cpu ratio at 19.00 and the fsb freq to 200 and set the memory to 1333mhz. The cpu voltage is currently at 1.5v which seems high to me but i started at stock and increased the voltage bit by bit but prime 95 still crashes. I dont no what to do any help would be great.

My temps are 46 at full load. I also tryed to oc the northbridge cpu/nb freq 2800, nb volatge 1.28 cpu/nb voltage 1.3. When i run prime 95 the first core crashes after about an hour the second after about 2 hours and the 2 left carry on testing.

I think you've probably hit the wall unless you go for insane volts, from what I've seen PII's seem to top out at about 3.7-3.8ghz (on air) under 64bit when going for 100% stability, but will usually manage a few hundred mhz more under 32bit or if you don't care for stress testing.

I changed the cpu/nb freq to 2600 and ran prime 95 again this time it ran for 8 hours before crashing is that stable enough?
