Over loading a molex connector with Cathodes?

Hi guys this might be a stupid question but hey i havent got a clue and i know i can rely on this forum for some reasonable advice, so anyway the question is i am going to make a large purchase of cathodes for a crazy case mod im looking at doing, specifically 22 cathodes. that will be linked to sound reactive modules. Will this be safe for a molex connector or should i look at an alternative method of powering them. thanks guys.

PSU is 750w, rig is in the sig :)
 
hmmm they draw barely any power so I would have thought NO to the overloading question.

Do you mean 22 cathodes on ONE molex connector?
 
I doubt if a single molex would be sufficient. I think they'll go up to about 60w or so. Provided the ccfls draw less than 3w each you might get away with it. I'd be tempted to use a few molex connectors. I don't think there's any need to split the load though across rails or anything.

Derailling the thread a bit, But mind me asking what you're planning on doing? 2/3 Cathodes are normally plenty to light up the inside of a case so 22 should be nice and bright :D

Oh, and cathodes draw ~4w each and a molex connector is rated to ~60w. I would atleast split them between 2 if not 3 molex connectors just to be on the safe side.
