Over looked PCI question

PCI cards are often overlooked but I want to know what kind of PCI cards are available. Is there something interesting I could buy?

I know you can purchase WIFI add on cards, LAN add on cards, proper audio sound cards, and USB3 add on cards.

Are they all the different types of expansion cards or are there more?

Bit of an odd question. Usually you identify a need then try to fill it with the appropriate expansion card?

could you give me some detailed information though, please?

I want to watch TV in HD on my PC, what should I buy? I doubt I'll need a recorder as I could just... fraps it and go downstairs while it records?

I must admit I have been out of the loop for TV cards, but looking at most of the ones here they support HD.
