My current system is running very stable and never have any problems apart from adobe photoshop adn after effects. These sometimes crash upon closing, after hanging for a little bit. They run fine during using the applications, only crashing (sometimes) when closing. I'm guessing this is most likely an inherant problem with these applications, or the applications conflicting with vista 64. But nether the less could someone check this overclock.

The specs of my PC are as follows.

Q6600 GO cooled with a tuniq tower. (checked the temps with prime maxing out all cores for 8 hours no problems there)
4x 1GB DDR2 PC6400 800mhz geil RAM
abit IP35 Pro motherboad
BFG 8800GT
Vista 64

Now for the overclocking. In BIOS I have the following settings.

External Clock = 334
Multiplyer = 9
DRAM speed (CPU:DRAM) =1:1.2 (DDR2 801)
PCI express Clock= 100mhz
CPU core voltage =1.3350v
DDR2 voltage= 2.1

So do these settings look ok?

Thanks.

Look OK.

Do a Prime95 test for 8 hours to see if it's stable.

What idle and load temps do you get?

youve got 4 x 1GB sticks so you prob will have to increase MCH or the Northbridge voltage 1 or 2 notches.

other then that it should be fine..

try this out.

External Clock = 400
Multiplyer = 9
DRAM speed (CPURAM) =1:1 (DDR2 800)
PCI express Clock= 100mhz
CPU core voltage =1.4050v
DDR2 voltage= 2.1

Am i right in saying that will give me an overclcok of 3.6?

I tried that overclock, but my PC failed to boot up afterwards. Having said that I didnt increase the MCH or northbridge (or are these both the same thing?) I couldnt see any setting for northbridge voltage, but I could see MCH whihc is set to 1.25.

What would you recomend is the maximum i set this value to?

Thanks
