I just replaced an overvolted 7800GT with a new 8800GT, I went with the vanilla asus card but I can't get a stable in game overclock 
not even 20mhz!
I tried ati tool first and even at a relatively small overclock of say 50 mhz it says it is fine with no artifacts but COD4 crashes almost immediately.
I then tried gainwards xpert tool but no luck there either.
The card is on water cooling and a frosty 50 at full load. There are no ram heatsinks on the card's ram but I am not even trying to overclock the ram yet and it runs games fine with the core at stock speed.
I don't think I have seen any of these cards that will not overclock AT ALL so am I just the unluckest GT owner in the world or am I missing some amazing trick?
