Overclock causing mouse lag?? Is this possible?

Hi folks

Decided to get back on the OC wagon with my C0 i7 920. It's now at 3.36ghz and seems very stable (prob 20 hours or so in total playing BFBC2 without any crashes etc)

The odd thing I have noticed though is that my G700 Wireless Gaming mouse seems to lag when it is not tethered via it's usb charging cable (only in BFBC2 and not in windows in general)

Can this be a symptom of an unstable overclock (even though I have not seen any crashes etc)?

Also if it's in a USB 3 slot could play up, my xbox 360 contorller went bananas in a usb 3 slot back to USB2 and it was fine.

Ok I think it's nothing to do with the overclock. I think I've worn away my desk so much in one spot that the laser can't see any differences in surface and it glitches there.

Does it at stock too and I guess it was co-incidence that I noticed it when I overclocked!

So, it's time for a mouse pad

...or a quick sandpapering of my desk to roughen up that spot.......now works a treat lol !!
