Overclock core i7 2600k

I just bought a core i7 2600k and am looking to overclock it. Iincreased the multiplier to 40 and set VCore to 1.20V after running LinX for the past 40 minutes (with the max amount of RAM available) there hasn't been any stability issues and the core temperatures at 100% load seems to hover between 75-80°C with a max package temperature of 85°C.

Are those temperatures anything to worry about, or is this vcore/multiplier combo ok?

Max of 85 is a little bit hot to be honest.

So lower the voltage a little bit?

Lowering the voltage might make it unstable.. Imho just buy a decent cooler.

You definitely want a better cooler. Low 70's are the max temps you should ideally be running.
