Overclock Help Please

Hey guys, i have a Quad Core Phenom 9950 Black edition and get a BSOD when i try to take it past 2.9GHz. Ive read elsewhere that you can get better results if you overclock the cores individually, does anyone know how to do this??

EDIT: Is it even possible to clock them seperately?
