Hi guys,

I've got a E6600 at 390Mhz (3.5Ghz @ 1.5V) and the timings read at : 487Mhz 4:5 5-5-5-20. Is this OK? I've got the Balistix PC5300 CL3. Should it be 1:1 ratio? If so, how'd you change it? I've got a DS3P mobo. :)

In the bios change the memory multipier to 2x for a 1:1 ratio. This will mean that your memory will run at an effective speed of 780mhz. You could probably get away with 4-4-4-12 timings. But 5-5-5-15 is ok.

OK - at 275Mhz (1:1) 5,4,4,18.

What should I test it to? what would 400 need in terms of volts? Is it only the CPU I need to adjust, or the RAM also?

If it's running fine at 390mhz with the memory at 487mhz on the x2.5 memory multiplier, I would just lower the timings to 4-4-4-12. If it doesn't boot at that, give the memory voltage a nudge.

Yip push.

Tho 400x9 is very hard to get. 390x9 might be the limit. Then set the memory multiplier to x2.5 to have your memory running at ~500mhz (~1000mhz) at 4-4-4-12.
