Hi All
10 years ago bought a system from overclockers.
I7 920 overclocked to 3.8 bought from overclockers with the overclock.
Gigabyte x58 ud5 rev 1
6gb corsair ram
Amd 4870 x2.
Few upgrades through the years more ram ,ssd and amd 6990.
Ran rock solid for ten years.
Till last week lost lan tried everything no joy.
Finally sorted reflashed bios again to f19. Lan back.
Only thing is lost the overclock didn't back it up. Haven't overclocked since getting this pc.
Any one got a back up of overclocked bios for this motherboard cpu combo ?
I know when I bought it overclockers were selling loads of this combination either as bundle or complete system

.

It's easy to reinstate an overclock- it's just a matter of tweaking a few settings. You don't need any special files, chips or equipment.

You'd just need to get into the BIOS, and set CPU ratio to 19. (Pretty sure 1st gen Core were 200MHz ratioed). There are a couple more settings which may need adjustment, but in many cases in can be as simple as that.

EDIT Sorry this post comes across a bit condescending. That's not my intent. All I mean is that I doubt the pre-installed overclock profile was anything special, that you couldn't easily achieve inside 2 minutes in the BIOS.

Hi I know that but I never overclocked i7 920. Before my last over clocking was x38 motherboard and q9450.
Still running today at 3.6gb.
No knowledge of i7.
I know my pc is due an upgrade but I'm not getting on with win 10 what I don't get is why it has all the boatyard tablet mode, flght mode, mine is desktop not a tablet or a phone. Still love win 7.
I know one day when my photography files are 60mb I will have to upgrade.

I've done an i5 from the first-gen, a 760 I think, but not an i7. There were some differences between them if I recall, more than just hyperthreading.
I'm sure someone will be along who can actually remember some numbers...

Tablet mode? Are you sure you're on 10? That sounds more like Windows 8!
