Overclock issue?

Hey all.

My rig is overclocked as per sig.
I also have an unlocked 6950.

I dropped the vcore one notch yesterday on my cpu and Bad Company 2 had funny flickering on the screen (like black bits) and during a flicker the headphones make a stutter at the same time.
I quit BC2 back to the main screen and then the PC BSOD's on me.

I think it is the cpu and will up the voltage, but I have had several hour long BC2 sessions since I dropped the voltage.

Am I correct in saying that graphics cards either work or don't? It has been running the 6950 unlocked bios for a week now with no overclock.
I have even had the 6950 benching at 950mhz core with unlocked shaders with no graphical errors.
Windows 7 basically says that the PC fubared and it has no idea why.

Thanks

EDIT: GPU never rose above 72c whilst gaming.

Where you temps particularly high that you needed to drop your volts?

What I suggest you do to check if it is your overclock or your graphic card is set your CPU to defaults and then if you still have issues you will at least know it is not your CPU.

As to graphic cards failing. It all depends on the kind of failure. Some of the time it will be a long slow process with more and more artefacts showing or if there has be catastrophic failure of a component it will be sudden and not work.

I was running 200x20 on the cpu for 4ghz but the latest bios just didn't like it so now I did 200x19 for 3.8ghz and just guessed the voltage. I dropped it one to see if it was OK. It ran IBT 10 times so though it would be alright :p.
I didn't have any cpu temperature issues, I just didn't want to be giving it more voltage for no reason.
