Overclock lost its stabilty

Hi

Ive been running my 2600k@ 4.5ghz with just a +.005v offset for around a year as it gives good performance with little extra heat. This was completely prime and IBT stable up until yesterday when i replaced my GTX470 SLI set up with a single HD 7970 Matrix. Ive had to bump the offeset up to +.030 just to pass IBT at standard with 10 passes. Ive not had any crashes and im still testing to see its stable with the extra voltage but I cant understand why this has happened. Can anyone offer an explanation?

i checked it a few days ago and it was fine its only since installing the new card which strikes me as suspicious

Try putting back in your old card and see if your oc is ok.

Theyve been sold im afraid. Ill try with a fresh windows install and see what happens.

I would point to the gfx card first.

What psu do you have op? Try upping the voltage on cpu a tad.

Thats what i was thinking its only just happened straight after changing graphics card. Ive got an 850W XFX PSU.

Got it stable 4.6GHZ again without much fuss after a fresh install.
