Overclock me!

Hi all,

I'm brand spanking new at OC'ing.

So help me out here.

Q6600 @ stock 2.4ghz (although CPU-Z showing it drops to 1.6, presuming some intelligent software does that when no load)
Gigabyte 965P-DQ6
2x 1gb DDR2-6400 (400mhz, 5-5-5-18, FSBRAM 2:3)
8800GT 512mb

first up the cpu clock ratio to 8x
then the fsb to 375
change Ram multiplier so the ram speed is as close to 800 as posable
and change the cpu voltage to 1.35
that will give you 3Ghz.
Then boot in to windows
run OCCT hour test to see if its stable
also use core temp to keep an eye on the cpu temp well you are doing the OCCT strest test

dude im running pritty much the same set up at the mo but the only diffrence is im useing a 8500GT but iv had the core all the way up to 3.2 on chilled liquid before but im back to stock till my gpu temp is sorted.
