Hi,

Been overclocking my system (see sig)
Ive been trying to fix the overclocking and no matter what i do When i boot in to vista and check its putting the FSb back to basics...

My friend whos helping me has got a q6600 and had no problems with his . Every setting is ok and weve turned off all thwe speedstep options we can see.....could it be a setting in vista or maybe a bios setting we have overlooked??

any advice would be good thanks!

trying to update it usaing the ezflash and it wont find the bios on the C: or weven find the USb stick!?

hope im not stuck with this bios.....is there anyway to roll it back or another way to update?????

thanks

Could boot to Dos and type in force flash cmd (would need Google it, being a while).

It always calls it C (it aint the HDD) when your in that Flash Screen of Bios), try it from a CDRW.

There used to be a tick box option to downflash in the Asus Update Tool (many did not know that, but many are now getting nuked Mobos with thats Tool.

Make sure your USB drive is FAT-formatted, not NTFS.

never used dos before so don't fancy doing it that way, any other ways

Did you make sure your USB is FAT (probably is) as peep above said ?.

Can you not burn to a CD/DVD ?.

BTW, I seem to remember on Asus Forums or XS Forums, some peeps getting an issue downflashing (cant remember is your Mobo and that bios).

Pull power lead/pull battery(dont really need to) and Reset press button on the Mobo.

You would need to know how to set up your Bios again inc time/date.

Who put it together for you ?.
