been playing project cars for an our loading and loggin out playing with the setting then testing and it hasnt gone above 60 degree yet no crashes either
managed to get the game to runflat out ultra everything in the dry but set thunderstorm and my fps dropped to 48 for some parts of the ring. only played with the settings to see what it can do set it back to normal and hitting 60 fps constantly
really happy with my build
do i risk going even more on overclocking??
if i got this to say 5.0 ghz being realistic am i getting much over the 4.7 i seem to have now??

Theres not much of a risk if you watch your temps and dont overvolt the chip. Im happy running mine at 1.3v @ 4.8 for every day use. I do up it to 4.9ghz though when im trying out higher settings than normal in some games.
Dont forget about your graphics card, you might wanna install trixx and overclock that a little. If you can get an extra 100 mhz or so from that it might give you a decent fps boost.

yea i thought about clocking the gpu but wasnt sure how or what to do so thought i best leave it and being 8gb i thought it might be powerful enough as is.
i been playing pcars for 4 hours and its been stable so might leave it at 4.7ghz for a while

That's a nice OC, and temps and voltage (1.260 Vcore) are pretty ideal like that.
My own chip (4770K) needs 1.27 @ 4.4GHz and even then it isn't entirely stable and can crash every few days, sometimes when just idling. Its sweet spot is 1.225v @ 4.3GHz. After that it starts to hit "the wall". The other chips I've tried (4690K/4790K) in builds for others have all clocked better.
