Is GPU:660 MHz, Shader: 1528 MHz, Memory: 997 MHz to high an overclock for my 320GTS?

It hasn't locked up or anything. Temps are GPU: 56 °C (133 °F)/GPU Diode: 66 °C (151 °F)/GPU Ambient: 46 °C (115 °F)

3dmark06 jumped from 8391 stock to 9318 on above settings. Real Clock 999 MHz (DDR) (original: 792 MHz, overclock: 26%)

Possibly given your psu. I'd say anything over about 620 or so on the core is ambitious and will definitely need watching for a while. Are you using the stock cooler?

id lower the core to 650 or 640, i had my core at 660 for 2 weeks and it started locking up in games forcing me to use lower clocks

Shader could go further tbh. Are those idles temps?

Yeah those are idle temps. I've lowered the core to 620 to be on the safe side but have no way of raising the Shader in Nvidia Control Panel. Is there a better application for this?

Also, are these settings meant to reset after reboot?

Cheers for the advice by the way :D

EDIT: The GPU fan is set to 60% (1578rpm)

gah keep it up to 660. no reason not to.

yes use rivatuner or Xpert tool. much better and can do shader clocks.

ive got a 320mb as you can see in my sig. overclocks very well and never had a problem with it. had it for 4 months now at these or very near settings (fiddled every driver release)

those are good temps. no need to lower the clock. keep memory where it is and push up the core and shader. dont go over 1700 for the shader and 680 (in my experiance) core. i also upped the Fan speed to 69% (70% and it becomes audible). this can be done in rivatuner as well.

Ok. Did that with the new Forceware 169.17 drivers and got a blue screen while 3dmark06 benchmarking so I've uninstalled and put the 165 drivers back in. Gonna try again :(

just out of interest, what was your 3dmark06 score? I've done 2 2day, my 1st was 9318 with my original gpu overclock and now 9194 with the new settings of 650/1600/1003. Wierd

im using the new forceware drivers and i have my 8800gts 320 oc'd to 660 and its fine,i keep the fan at 100% as i aint to concerned with the noise and im getting 12301 on 3dmark06,i keep the memory clock at 996mhz.
