Ok im gonna be getting a 8800gtx next week but im still unsure as to what to do.

I have a x2 4400, and ga k8n-sli-pro

Should i get a 8800gtx and simply overclock my cpu to say 2.6-2.8ghz (ordererd a scythe infinity cooler today). Or would i get better gaming results by getting a 8800gts 640, a core 2 e6600 and a whole new motherboard and ram? :confused:

Obviously the latter would still end up more expensive (not to mention fitting,clean xp install) with a worse gfx card.... Should i just oc my x2 4400,get the 8800gtx oc and upgrade the rest of my pc next year or something?

well the upgrade would be only for games. I just dont want to spend loads of money on a 8800gtx and have hindered. However do intend to play at 1280x1024 and a above with loads of AA and AF.
