Had an e2140 on an Abit IN9-32X-MAX for about 6 months now happily clocked at 2.8. However recently I started getting a few blue screens so I set everything back to default speeds and all was fine.

Now i'm trying to get it to a speed near what I did have and for some reason it won't go past 2GHz no matter what voltage I put through it.

Has it just run out of life or is there something I can do??

Only thing I can suggest is try running mem-test just in case you have memory problem.
Try prime at stock to make sure your stable.

Don't throw too much volts straight away.
Try to repeat all the clocking from begini, that will mean resetting bios to default and going up by 20-50mhz steps. Then when it won't boot add 1-2tick of volts and retry. Also check your memory as RJC said, make sure you pass at least 250-300% coverage.

I would check all the voltages also, maybe it's a PSU prob more than CPU/ram.

Did you install any software or changed any hardware before that happen btw? Sometimes one nasty program can mess up everything.
