Hi, I have a i5-2500k (not overclocked) a Gigabyte Z77X-D3H Mobo 16 mg ram Gigabyte GTX 1070 GPU, 128mg Samsung 850 Evo SSD for windows, 500mg SSD for games & a 1TB HD for other stuff, only use the comp for gaming and other household duties.

My problem is that both the CPU overclock program fail to load up, if I delete it from the comp and reinstall, it loads and works for the first time, as soon as I go into it for the 2nd time ity will not open, any ideas???

The GTX 1070 is brand new 2 weeks ago, and the same thing happens to it, do you think the Mobo is at fault??

Cheers in advance.
Chris.

Try MSI Afterburner for clocking the 1070 - if you're not dong so already.

And as alluded to by mattyfez - clock the CPU via the BIOS. A moderate clock of 4.2GHz - 4.5GHz should be easily attainable, if you have a semi-decent third party cooler, by a simple multiplier tweak and manual voltage bump (loads of guides on the net/youtube and these forums). You could go for 4.2GHz using the stock cooler.
