Overclock settings

I have had a system for a good few years from overclockers and its been fine for many years, i have up graded a few areas like adding memory, up graded the hard drive to ssd, and now running a better graphics card (1060) but the question is when im running in the over clock settings set by overclockers in the BIOS, i get regular blue screens while gaming and editing in light room, as soon as i set the bios to normal settings i dont have an issue.
Does anyone have a clue as to why this might happen??
