overclock simple help [doesnt downclock or voltage drop]

Problem one:
never downclocks (good thing or bad??)
voltage never drops (bad thing i guess?

so ever since i had the Mpower z77 its never downclocked my i7 3770k.
at stock it set my multiplier to 39! so i got 3.9ghz for free

recently set i set my multiper to 42. and set voltage to 1.130 (effectively 1.128 in windows.

now how do i get my clock/voltage to drop when idle?

what board? (ahh I see msi)

its fine but if you want it to save power/run cooler at idle you need to transfer your fixed voltage to an offset/dvid voltage,then it will auto downclock in speed/voltages at idle

tbh not sure on msi boards I don't think they support offset voltage?
