Sorry about all my posts recently but you guys know what your talking about and I dont, simple as.
I'm happy with my [email protected] using Orthos the highest reached temp on core 1 is 60*C. Cant overclock past 3.3Ghz, think Ive hit the FSB limit.
I have 2 options on my timings
4:5 4-4-4-12 DDR2-888 = stable is every test other than Orthos (crashes after 10sec), perhaps settings the timings to 5-5-5-15 would make this more stable?
1:1 4-4-4-12 DDR2-710 = 100% stable
Would the underclocked ram/tighter timings be a waste of money spending PC6400 money when booting up shows @ PC4200. I have benched both settings with a ram test (super PI) and both claim to process data quick than stock memory.
Which would you guys run?

This is where superPI becomes usefull m8.

Run whichever settings give you the best times. Run3d mark and see which gives you the better score.

3Dmark 06 returns pretty much the same score, using Super PI its around 2sec quick on a 8MB file @ 888MHZ but unstable using Orthos.

Before you look at dropping timings, what voltage is your RAM at at 888MHz, and what is the maximum specified for your RAM?

(What RAM do you have?)

My ram is currently set to auto on both settings but setting to 2.1/2.2V doesnt make any difference as regards stability.
I have Ocz Gold PC6400 4X1GB
