Hey, I’m just messing about with clockgen at the moment due to my motherboard not able to overclock, is clockgen a reliable OC tool?

What’s the max/safe OC you would recommend? (specs in sig)

Options I can change,

yeah, boot in at the voltage, clockgen up untill you get errors, then drop it down a touch and do some long tests. Of course, on the Dual-VSTA clockgen doesnt work...... which is an arse!

Thanks for the reply’s guys :)

Jokester so you would personally recommend Clockgen a safe tool to use to achieve a suitable overclock? So far I have it running at:

Ive ran numerous benchmarks and it seems to be ok :) (prime, superpi, orthos sp? & 3DMark06)

Can I push this further? I have overclocked numerous AMD systems in the Bios and am a little wary of software OCing (a wuss I know :p)

Main benefit of clockgen is that you can't permanantly change anything to cause it to refuse to reboot requiring a CMOS clear, so it's handy to find a max stable overclock before applying it in the BIOS.

Ah ok looks like I will keep sliding that button and have no fear :) (The worst part is waiting ages to test the OC :( )

Am I right in saying it’s bad for the PCI-E & PCI to rise? I haven’t got an option in the bios to lock these.
