Overclock wont work anymore

So I've been running at 300x9 but now when I reboot it says in the bios that its still at 300x9, but the speed is still 200x9 :/ For some reason it accepts the bios settings but doesnt actually change anything anymore.

Have you tried resetting the CMOS ? It may well fix the problem.

Speed step as far as I know changes the multiplier, and not the system bus speed.

I.E, if it was 200x9 for default, the speed step might make it 200x7 for example.
