I am new to this overclocking business, I have had this PC for quite some time but it's performance isn't as what I want anymore. My demands has raised, so decided to overclock it, but couldn't due to the lack of knowledge on overclocking, can anyone give me a suggest to overclock, all the system related is below.

Thanks in advance for all your help. :)

The spec in the list IS overclock ready, however one of the main factors of overclocking is temperature

The higher, the hotter this comes mainly with increased voltages

i would say that you could probably put a very small overclock if you wish, however with you saying the performance isnt what you want anymore im assuming that you was thinking of quite a high overclock?

If so then you would need to replace the cpus stock heat sync to allow it to run cooler under the higher load

Right, I do understand the concept. I had overclocked it at 20x CPU Multipler from the BIOS with stable 68C with running Prime95, but it seems to be gitterish when I'm actually doing stuff like browsing, playing games FPS drops like crazy. I had also increased the voltage to around 1.47. I didn't play around with any other settings. I left everything else as default.

I put it back to normal, and everything works fine. That's rather strange that even when I overclock by switching the multipler to 18, it becomes jittery in games/applications, even by uping the voltage. Don't know what's wrong, but the temps seems to stay the same as when overclocked.
