Hi,

I've overclocked my quad core 2.4Ghz Q6600 from a safe overclock of 3.0ghz where it was stable, but now pushed it to 3.3ghz with a x9 multiplier.

2 cores give fatal errors on the Prime95 torture test within seconds but i've tried gaming with the new overclock and the system is rock solid stable and frame rates have a nice boost.

Will i damage my hardware or even corrupt data if i leave it on the 3.3ghz spec?

Does the torture test equate to real world usage?

No voltage has been changed and temps are around 65-70 degrees C on full load.

Thanks.
