I have been overclocking my cpu and got it to 3.6ghz. Now while playing l4d2 it was unstable hanged and restarted my comp. So i went into the bios and went to increase voltage from 1.375 to 1.400 but it's all now gone to default. When i go into bios it states my multiplier is x18.5 but on cpuz and core temp i've gone back to 3.1 and the multi has gone down to x15.5 also.

Any ideas?

Did you save the overclock to a profile in the BIOS? If so - loading it back up will be pretty easy. It is also possible that if you haven't restarted again since recovering from the crash then mobo is sitting in "failed overclocking mode" (default settings). If this is the case, restarting again you may see the OC back in effect.

I have restarted again but it doesn't go back to my overclocked settings, first thing i tried :( No i didn't save it to a profile unfortunately, but the odd thing is that the settings are already set in the bios as my overclock ie multiplier @ 18.5 etc.. But it just doesn't load anymore :/ Odd
