overclocked E6300 good enough?

Anyone know if a overclockede e6300 will be fast enough to be paired with a GTX plus vista? Is a E6300 at say 2.8-3ghz as fast as an e6600 at that speed?

Yes, more than enough. And it should be good for at least 3GHz.

it wont be quite as fast as a e6600 at 3gig casue the e6600 and e6700 have 4mb cache comapred with 2 on the e6300 and e6400. how ever differnece will be small and at 3gig it should be fast enojugh for a gtx.

Absolutely yes, the fastest mainstream cpu at the moment.

The 4mb cache is'nt really used in games, only in encoding. So for games they should be the same speed wise.
