Hello,

I got this setup from overclockers...

*OVERCLOCKED* Intel Core i7 920 D0 Stepping (SLBEJ) 2.66Ghz @ 4.00GHz
Gigabyte EX58-UD5 Intel X58 Motherboard
Corsair 6GB DDR3 PC3-12800C8 1600MHz DDR3 Bundle
2 x Seagate Barracuda 7200.12 500GB SATA-II 16MB Cache - OEM
Corsair TX 750W ATX SLI Compliant Power Supply (CMPSU-750TXUK)
Antec 902 Nine Hundred Two Ultimate Gaming Case - Black (No PSU)
Microsoft Windows 7 Professional 64-Bit - OEM (FQC-00765)
XFX ATI Radeon HD 4870 1024MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card
Focusrite Saffire 6 USB soundcard

Overclockers did the overclocking.

I am having problems using Azureus, when i leave the application on overnight to download i get back in the morning and find my computer has frozen up. I cannot move the mouse or use control alt del to restart. I posted my crash logs on the azureus forums and somebody replied saying i should run my computer at stock speed because: Yes, the reason is to see whether or not Vuze will work properly this way. Depending on the settings Vuze will stress the network hardware/driver and if the whole system is not stable a freeze seems possible.

Does anybody else have an opinion on here and does reverting to stock speed seem like the best thing to do? cheers.

Firstly, I recommend not using any bittorrent apps! :) Use something like Rapidshare or Megaupload and only download legit things

Secondly, this is a PC we are talking about. I would not go back to stock settings for one app. Do games work? Does a decent benchmarking app like Prime95??

Firstly, Do not revert to stock! I'm fairly sure that any alterations you do to the config of your PC will void the Warranty OC supply with their PC's.
Secondly, if Vuse doesn't work just use another. There are plenty about!

Ok i downloaded the 64 bit version of Prime95 and ran the stress test on blend setting and after a few seconds my mouse pointer went all juddery and my computer crashed to a blue screen. when windows started again i got this error message:

whats wrong with my comp? i couldnt read the .dmp file.

The problem is its unstable, can you run cpuz and realtemp so we can have a look at clocks and temps at idle? If you bought a stable system rated for 4ghz overclocked by ocuk drop them a line or an email and I'm sure they can help stabilise it. I doubt tweaking the settings will void any warenty... they are there to be tweaked but best be on the safe side and check with them first.

Hope you get it fixed, Wip

Look in event viewer for the crash and read/post the further info that the dump file will give. Seems like the OC isn't recieving stable voltages to me.

ok here is a screenshot of the logs

http://designboutiqueuk.com/heps/

now, i use my pc for music production and had a problem with throttling with my old soundcard. when i ran cpu-z before, my clock time would always be going up and down. i did tweak a few registery entries via the following method here http://forum.cakewalk.com/tm.aspx?m=1861804 and that stabalized my clock speed near 4ghz. now i have got rid of my old soundcard i went back into regedit and put the values back to there original setting but my clock speed is still staying constant and not fluctuating anymore. dont know whats up there.??

Where exactly do i look in event viewer to find the crash log?

i wouldnt concern yourself tbh, you bought it as a overclocked system and its not stable. get oc to sort it..

seeing a few of these threads at the mo. makes you ask questions of the quality control of their overclocked bundles.

Revert to stock and leave it running over night, does the app crash then, furthermore grab a copy of memtest and leave that running for 12 hours, eliminate your ram from the equation while you're going to all this trouble.

I would have to agree with Nodiggidy123, you paid the additonal sum for an overclock, i'm sure overclockers would be happy to sort it for you.
