*OVERCLOCKED* Intel Core i7 Bundle

As a non-stock heatsink is included, I don't see why they would use a retail chip.

I would say almost certainly they would use an OEM version, as that's what it's for... system-builders. As for mobo accessories, you should get them!

I would assume the above as it makes sense - unless informed otherwise by OcUK.

You could try getting confirmation in the Customer Service Forum but, like Duke, i'm inclined to think that they would use an OEM chip.

Thanks guys

I really need to get this for Monday do you think it's possible or should i order the parts seperately and chance it reaching 4GHZ?

It's possible it will just depend on stock - you could opt for a Saturday delivery.

I would try a post in Customer Services someones usually floating about and ask about stock levels - or get on the phone first thing in the morning and get confirmation/assurance and order accordingly.

I have that bundle but with the Noctua cooler, No i didn't get a stock cooler.

I ordered in the even and it was shipped the next day. So i'd guess if they have them ready to go (which i assume they do due to the speed of mine being shipped) then it will be shipped ASAP. I was expecting it to be a few days due to stress testing. :)

Decided to order the following and take my chances on reaching 4GHZ

Intel Core i7 920 D0 Stepping (SLBEJ) 2.66Ghz (Nehalem) (Socket LGA1366) - Retail
Asus P6TD Deluxe Intel X58 (Socket 1366) PCI-Express DDR3 Motherboard
Corsair XMS3 6GB (3x2GB) DDR3 PC3-12800C8 (1600MHz) Tri-Channel (TR3X6G1600C8)
Corsair H50-1 High-Performance CPU Watercooler (Socket LGA775/1156/1366/AM2/AM3)

Fingers crossed!
