Thought i might have been getting somewhere with all this overclocking stuff, but now i am back at square one.

After having had a couple of issues i decided to run memtest86 (v2.01), and basically, unless the computer is running at stock speeds, it seems to fail (first thing i must say is that legacy usb is disabled)

PC is
Q6600 G0 (watercooled in Thermaltake VE2000)
Asus P5KC
4 x Corsair XMS2 CM2X1024-6400
Nvidia 9800GTX

Have tried lots of setups at 8 and 9 multipliers. RAM set to auto and set manually, used given manufacturer timings 5-5-5-18, upped the voltage a bit, upped the voltage of the NB to 1.55 to take in to account 4 sticks, but everytime it fails, weather the processor is at 2.7ghz (300x9) and 600mhz RAM, or 3.6 and anywhere in between.

Any ideas???

Keep reading about unlinking the RAM or something from the FSB, but cant see where to do it on mobo

Really frustrating as the chip OCs no problem, it just seems to be the RAM

What do i do????

Realise there isnt many specs in this post, please let me know what i need to try

have you adjusted the ratio for *** ram and the cpu. if not then as you overclock the cpu you overclock the ram.

if not try geting it as close to factory settings as possible mhz wise that means 800mhz

try 320x9 on the cpu with a 4:5 ram divider 2,1v is normall good for corsair. allthough if you have packet double check what it states. and use 5-5-5-15 see how you get on with that.

also have you tried the overclock with juts 2 sticks ? if that works maybe worth trying all possible combos of 2 sticks just incae you hav a bad stick of ram.

are you sure that the ram is at 600mhz and not 1200mhz? Some mobo's report the actual speed not ddr speed so 600mhz is actually 1200mhz effective. So maybe 450-500 mhz is more reasonable.
