Hi guys,

My cousin bought the "Titan 8700i Pulse" Intel Core i5 3570K 3.40GHz @ 4.40GHz DDR3 Ivybridge Gaming PC (With a GTX 670)

Windows is up and running and I have all the latest drivers and updates I can get but it has had a BSOD about 5 times now (since yesterday).

Heres a pic:

Any ideas on how to resolve?

second port of call,

third is what was you doing to make it do that? gaming? something pushing it hard etc?

try re seating the cpu fand / heatsink, don't over tight but also it doesn't want to be loose either.

I can't do the first test at the moment as I'm at work.

The CPU is running at 4.4GHz. I checked this within the BIOS.

The only thing I have been doing is installing Windows updates and downloading Steam games. I have not been on a game yet.

Well it seems to run fine when not using the ocuk profile. Guess I'll have to call. Thought this was tested before the pc is shipped out. :(

Well I phoned up today. Got through to somebody about 4:40PM. He said he would get somebody to send me an email with different BIOS settings in about 15 minutes. Sadly though, I'm still waiting for that email. I guess I'll have to phone again on Monday. :(

Thanks for your input though guys.

I am also thinking of puchasing an overclocked bundle, so i was wondering did you get this problem resolved...

I contacted them again and this time they have sent me instructions on what to change in the BIOS. Not able to test the new settings until the weekend now as my cousin was eager to take his PC home.

It did not get resolved. The new settings they sent me did not resolve the issue. But my cousin did not want to send it back and wanted to keep the default clock settings.

I would have built it myself to save money. The reason I suggested to buy it from here was to ensure a stable overclock. But It's down to my cousin and he doesn't really seem that fussed.

It has made me think twice about recommending this website again though. Considering the first overclocked bundle I ordered had really bad capacitor squeal too.
