Overclocked systems with more RAM?

I notice that most of the systems listed on OcUK include only 4GB RAM, and that there is a note stating that adding additional memory will require a change to the overclock settings etc. I understand this.

But are these systems available with certain combinations of additional memory at time of order, with the same overclock possibilitt/stability?

I'm interesting in a new gaming rig (e.g. current Crisis MAXIMUM Vision system) but would want at least 8Gb instead of 4Gb (due to being a Photoshop CS5 user, amongst other things).

OcUK will be happy to customise that spec to exactly what you need, give them a call and you can adjust the spec no problem. Better at time of order because the 8gb will be on 2 sticks of ram.

Photoshop runs smoothly on 4gb RAM, just make sure your graphics and processor can handle it. I do web and graphics design in my spare time and I've always used a dual core with 4gb or my new system i7 with 6gb, not much difference really.

More memory will generally lower the maximum overclock, but I'm sure OCUK will be happy to discuss what can be done.

the main problem is if you put 4 sticks in, but since 4gb sticks are common place now it should be fine, give them a call and sort it out.

@ Jakee, running "ok" and in your spare time, is fine, but if you want several large files, or work in very high res you need more, every minute you save on waiting for your PC is money in the bank if you use it for work.

It runs great on my system, very fast and responsive. I control several large websites, manage all the product images and play a great deal of cod on max settings :p
