Your CPU OEM packaging is not good enough.
I have seen this mentioned before so its not like its a new issue.
If the foam isn't thick enough to compress when you close the box the CPU will rattle about.

How can you send out CPUs like this?

I wouldn't worry about it, if the CPU is damaged in transit then it's down to OCUK to replace it. If there was a epidemic of CPU's that were broken in transit which was costing them money I'm sure they would look at how the CPU's were being packaged.

the problem with that is the end user then has to go through the faff of rma'ing and hoping ocuk then don't claim the user has caused the damage rather than transit which is completely possible if the cpu has bent pins.

Intel CPU's don't have Pins (which are likely the CPUs that are rattling around).

I had a "B-Grade" oem AMD 3600 from OcUK and it came in a tiny cardboard box with foam, but was fine as the pins hold it in place against the foam - so no rattle

there customer care is the best ive seen they are so helpfull andthey have been brilliant with all my rmas.
