Okay I have read the forums for about a week now on overclocking info, and finally thought I would give it a try, so just to make sure I am going the right way here is what I have done so far.

Firstly enabled CPU, PCIE, Async, leaving the PCIE Freq at 100 to lock the clocks on the AGP and PCI.

Put a divider on the memory 133mhz, I need to keep it at 200mhz or less right?

Lowered the HTT multiplier to 4x=800MHz

I then upped the HTT freq to 220Mhz, booted up fine.

Here is some pics of what CPUz shows, am I on the right track? Do I just keep increasing the HTT freq until I get unstable, and then it would be time to increase the volts to the CPU? Not seen a increase in temps at Idle, will do some testing tho to load the CPU if I am on the right track.

Sweet, will keep going then, only thing I am not too sure about is the HTT multiplier, when would I have to lower it even further?

Ah right got it now, thanks mate

Have my HTT at 250 now giving me 2.7 on the CPU, booting fine, temps are about 40 after 30 mins of prime, will probably run it at this for a while make sure its stable enough, or should I push it more?

My memory is on 166mhz divider and is 196MHz, is this fine?

My memory is just old PC3200 stuff from Crucial, so probably not the best of timings and for overclocking, I will be looking to upgrade it soon tho to 2gb so will get something more overclocking friendly.

Thanks for the help guys, I got the CPU to 2.7 on stock volts, not really done any stress testing other than a 2 hour session on BF2 which worked fine and no problems in normal use either, so will stick with this for a while and then maybe think about upping the volts to the CPU for more, but I am quite happy with a 25% increase :)

What air cooling was that using (case and hsf)? Thinking of getting the combo the OP has would be interesting to know whats the decent setup to go with my sonata II case (thinking freezer 64 pro at the mo).

Well mine is in the Sonata II case with an Artic Cooler freezer 64 pro HS, temps at idle around 32, at load 41 max. I have installed the optional 120mm case fan in front of the HDD bays though which might be helping. I am sure my chip could go futher if I had more volts from the mobo.
