Ok thinking of getting my 2nd 580 next month and I might get the one which is pre clocked to 805/1610.

Now I've looked at the MSI Afterburner software. Is it literally as simple as sliding it to these two values? Do I need to change the voltage if I was over clocking it from 772? One final question the memory clock is 2004 - what would I up this to if I was to up it to 805?

Many thanks and merry xmas.

Doubt you would need to up the voltage with such a small overclock, just bump the core and memory up to whatever the pre-overclocked cards core and memory is set at.

I run my Palit GTX 580 with 835 core 1670 shader and 2100 memory, with no increase in voltage, extremely stable aswell. This was acquired using the MSI Afterburner

Enjoy your 580 :)
