Overclocking 5960x on Rampage V

Hey guys,

I'm having some issues regarding overclocking this new setup I have.

Whatever I do, I can't get the multiplier to stay where I set it. It always goes back to x30...

I've tried setting each core to i.e x40 and the min/max cache at 38. still setting itself back to x30.

I've never overclocked a X99 board or these chips, so has something changed?

Also turbo mode is being naughty and keeps turning itself back on!


Stuck at 3.00ghz atm lol. Any help is much appreciated!

No worries guys! I fixed it I simply had to select XMP in one of the options, instead of Manual.

Now running 4.4ghz, perhaps I can squeeze some more?
