Coolbits is what you are thinking of, it is either a case of editing the registry yourself to get it or applying a small patch which does it for you.

You can also use Powerstrip, ATItool(I think) or Rivatuner amongst others. Rivatuner would be my second option after Coolbits. :)

right cheers all it was coolbits i was thnking of.

can u tell me if this is a decent overclock?

the stock for this card is 400mhz/1.2ghz

then gainward goldensample pre clock is 425mhz/1.25ghz.

i now have it set at 510mhz/1.33ghz

ran 3dmark05 and it took my score from 7055 to 8053.

i couldnt see any artifacts or anything and the temp didnt rise. will give it a proper test later with a couple of hours worth of cod2 so.

is the above any good for a first ever overclock?

thanks

Not a bad overclock. You could probably take the memory to 1400 with good air flow and the core to maybe 550. Be careful with both though and test thoroughly if you decide to go over what you're on now.

For comparison my 7600GT (AGP) is currently running nicely on 615/1532

if i put it higher than it is now and press test in coolbits it says the test failed does this mean this is as high as it will clock?

TIA

Yea I would even put it down about 10mhz each way from the limit to be safe. I didn't realise that the clocks for that card would be so low.
